Insurance

Previously, we requested that you purchase your own travel insurance for the trip. After some discussion, we figured that it would be more efficient and cheaper to purchase this insurance for all the members in Taiwan. You no longer need to purchase insurance for the trip, however, keep in mind that this insurance will only cover the duration of the service trip. If you wish to stay in Taiwan longer, please plan accordingly.

7/14 NTPC Festival

The New Taipei City Government's Festival Marketplace will be held on July 14 (13:00-19:00) at Fuzhong MRT Station. If applicant’s family members or friends join the Festival Marketplace on July 14, they will receive coupons for the Marketplace and other activities around the “𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐍𝐨.𝟏”.

This is a blurb from their gracious invitation to us:

New Taipei City has the largest population of all of Taiwan’s cities and is a place of rich ethnic diversity. It also possesses a great abundance of cultural assets and creative artistic talent as well as unique cultural characteristics. We embrace the spirit of innovation and are committed to the promotion of artistic development, the preservation and activation of cultural assets, community building, and other positive cultural endeavors.

In 2021-2023, the program of “Youth Culture Ambassador of New Taipei City” pays special attention to the progress of our youth participants in the cultural events to ensure they can work together through self-exploration, discover personal and cultural identities, and practice teamwork and leadership to become the future leaders of our diverse world.

The vision of the Intercultural Event in New Taipei City is to create an intercommunicate environment in which “Youth Culture Ambassador of New Taipei City”, young citizens and foreigners participate cultural events and all share in cultural achievements, and to make New Taipei City a lively and loveable city.
