Online Lessons
Below you will find the materials you need to teach your online lessons. If you have any questions, please email us at connexpedition@wceo.org or talk to your assigned online lesson assistant.
Scheduling Conflicts?
If you have any conflicts that will interfere with an online session, it is your responsibility to find a substitute for that session and notify the online lesson assistant assigned to your school about any schedule changes. Their contact email can be found in the same Google spreadsheet that contains your class schedule.
Check-in Procedure
When you join the Google Meet room, text your assistant with your class code and name immediately to let them know you are present.
Absence Procedure
We have a few previous members who will be assisting us with online lesson management and each class has been assigned to one of them in the sheet. 2 days before every online lesson, you will receive an email from our Taiwan staff at ntpcbbna@apps.ntpc.edu.tw reminding you about the lesson.
** If something comes up and you can no longer make the lesson:
"Reply all" to that notification email and notify them of your class code, the date you will be missing, in addition to the reason
You are responsible for making sure your class will have a minimum of 1 teacher per lesson. If both you and your partner cannot make a lesson, you are responsible for finding a substitute for your class and notifying us in that email about who your replacement will be.
You do not need to notify us, connexpedition@gmail.com, again, of your absence
Prepare for Online Lesson 1
Your TL’s should’ve left comments on your self-intro slides and lesson plan from Assignment 2 if there was anything for you to change. Please make sure you make these edits before your online lesson.
Update: Please adjust your lesson plans to fit in 40 minutes.
Make sure to prepare more buffer time than you think you’ll need for the first lesson, but have backup activities ready. Expect lots of technical issues and shyness, so be flexible!
Online lessons pushed to week of 4/21 for everyone EXCEPT Xintai classes. (Lulu Lai, Melinda Hsia, Aaron Kay, and Kai-Ti Hsu).You will still have your first lesson on the week of 4/16 but will not have lessons the following week of 4/22.
After Your First Online Lesson...
You should have a better sense of how you show up in the classroom. To help you gain a deeper understanding, reflect by completing the following form: First Online Class Reflection (link not updated yet)
Complete the reflection no later than 11:59pm the day AFTER your online lesson.
For example, if your lesson is on Monday evening, please submit your answers no later than Tuesday 11:59pm.
